His People, His Nation

This one is, as you may guess after seeing maybe the first 3 lines, taken from 1 Peter 2:1-12. Still want to put in a bridge though, possibly to flesh out verses 1-3 and/or 11-12

Actually at first, the second half of the chorus was totally different. I kept bringing it higher... but it already started high, so after a while it just became like unsingable

Verse:
We are His people
We are His nation
We are a royal priesthood called to rule and to serve
We've been redeemed
We've been set free
Set apart by Jesus to declare the praise of Him
Who called us out of darkness
To where His glory shone
To offer us His mercy
And to call us His own

Chorus:
To the Living Stone we will come
And like living stones we are built
With Christ as our foundation, Christ our cornerstone
Let us live our lives to glorify our God
